Oops … Thompson applied more bucket of water, now what?

On Sunday, I bought a set of unfinished Adirondack chairs bucket and used the type of finish Thompson "clear" to the seal. I aa regular paint brush to paint the putty in the chairs, what I think is a light jacket. Of course, what I thought was a coat of light was not enough light, because today is Wednesday and not completely dry. When you rub your hands on the chair that leaves an oily residue behind. I do not know if they are "dry" or in ruins. All that said, I looked at the sand carefully with sandpaper 80 grit and returns try … If possible, I would not have to do that. Can be "wiped" with a dry cloth? Or wash with soap and water or water? Any advice construction is greatly appreciated. I am a new owner and I'm sure I'll have to close a lot of things in the future. I hate having to go through that again lol. Thanks!

Just use thinner on a cloth or rubbing alcohol and wash well. It's probably pretty tacky now so that you may have to do it twice
