I have stained oak Adirondack chairs in April with tung oil. Dirty? How I can clean b4 re-staining?

Tung oil is a difficult thing, which protected the stocks of weapons against the elements for years! I just want to wash the chairs with hot soapy water and a sponge / cloth and rinse with the hose.
